The Maid He Rejected Was a Divine Goddess

Selene, Zeus’ daughter and Goddess of Light, disguises herself as palace maid Alicia to live a mortal life. She uses divine power to defeat barbarian invaders and begs King Lionel to ennoble her fiancé manor lord Giles. However, newly elevated Giles dumps her publicly for down-and-out noble Bianca, joining his greedy mother to insult Alicia over her humble identity. King Lionel steps forward and proposes a contractual marriage to defend her. At the nobility ceremony, Alicia unveils her divine aura, tearing the royal decree and disclosing that all the Mortimers’ fortune comes from her blessings. Later the high priest and Giles’ temple sister conspire with northern tribes to force the king to abandon Alicia and offer her as a sacrifice. Alicia reveals her true goddess status; Zeus and gods descend to punish all villains. Endowed with demigod power by Hera’s ring, Lionel marries Alicia grandly on Olympus, while the Dark Goddess rescues defeated foes, leaving a sequel cliffhanger.
