New Year’s Eve Death

On New Year’s Eve, Deborah died alone on the couch from sudden cardiac arrest. Her husband Mitchell came home with their son and his female colleague, yet mistook her dead body for sleep. He only covered her with a blanket and went out for king crab with the other woman. He left life‑saving medicine on the table but never checked if she took it. Blinded by fake threatening messages sent by his mistress, he left home for a two‑day vacation, completely ignoring her body. It was not until fluid leakage from the corpse drew the police that the truth came out: the mistress had stolen Deborah’s phone to frame her and deliberately blocked rescue attempts. Mitchell’s coldness and neglect cost her the last chance to survive. Overwhelmed by guilt, Mitchell made the mistress face legal consequences. He later died of kidney rejection, but he could never earn Deborah’s forgiveness.
