Drowning in Silence
Chloe, a former national competitive swimmer who was carrying twin babies, was betrayed by her unfaithful husband Matthew. Framed viciously by his mistress Lily, she was locked inside a modified water tank. Her desperate pleas only earned her cold indifference and humiliation from her husband. In the end, she perished alongside her unborn children. Her spirit was trapped within the mansion, forced to watch Matthew and Lily carry on their illicit affair day after day. Arthur, the butler, repeatedly tried to reason with Matthew out of kindness, yet he could never rouse the deluded man from his obsession. It was not until the stench of corpses seeped out of the tank that the household broke it open by force, forcing Matthew to confront the brutal truth. Later, he obtained conclusive evidence proving the entire ordeal was an elaborate scam masterminded by Lily. Overwhelmed with remorse after seeing the light, Matthew strove desperately to undo his wrongs, but the lives lost could never be brought back. Lily ultimately reaped what she had sown. Matthew gave away all his wealth and retreated into a monastic life to repent for the rest of his days. Chloe departed in peace with her two deceased children. The faithless man was left consumed by endless regret, while the heroine and her babies finally found release.
